About Us
We are a husband and wife team. The design, maintenance and care of the fishroom is a joint effort and we feel we efficiently use the strengths of each other to run a productive and fun fishroom. We have been keeping and breeding fish for over 30 years.
Fish We Keep and Breed
As the name of the website and fishroom suggests we mainly keep and breed Killifish and Corydoras.
But like most fish keepers we like all fish so in the fishroom we keep and breed fish from other groups as well. Some of these are livebearers, tetras, rasboras, danios, smaller cichlids etc.
Our Goals
We do not breed fish for profit even though it would be quite easy for us to do so. Breeding fish is fun and interesting, indication that the fish are happy and their basic needs met.
We try to breed many different fish throughout the year and prefer to breed enough for the next generation and move on to the next species. Though it also means often we raise more than we can keep so some fish are moved on to other hobbyists some through the friends who own aquarium stores.
