KILLIFISH
With their interesting behaviors and amazing colours Killifish are a great choice for nano tanks, but make sure you keep the lids on because they are expert jumpers.

KEEPING
Most killifish are happy in small tanks. They have always been the ultimate nano tank fish decades before the term 'nano' was used in the hobby.
Even though killifish like and thrive on live foods, we feed our fish dry foods and they feed as eagerly. Just make sure the breeder you get them from does not feed the fish exclusively on live foods and you'll be good.

BREEDING non-annuals
All non-annual killfish come from permanent bodies of water and they are relatively long lived; 3 years plus.
Most non-annual killifish are happy to use spawning mops as a spawning medium.
Their eggs are water incubated for 10 to 14days plus depending on the species.

BREEDING annuals
All annual killifish come from temporary bodies of water and in the wild they are relatively short lived because the waters they live in dry up. In our tanks they live longer.
All annual killifish can be spawned in containers houseing peat or sand. Then the eggs are collected and stored in semi-damp peat for 3 months plus depending on the species.
